From first-time voters to the vets, people are coming out in masses to make their voices heard.
“Letting your voice be heard and having it do it this way by actually electing someone who will run the country in your ways, with your morals whatever I think that’s important for every U.S. citizen,” Brannigan said.
Voters said this year’s election is more important than ever.
“There’s a lot of unrest between many groups of people,” voter Therese Marchand said.
“I’m young, I’m 25 and I know it affects myself, my siblings and everyone that comes after us so if we want America to be America we need to vote.”
John Smith has been volunteering as a poll worker for the past 20 years. He said because of the incredible early voting turnout, this Election Day has been the calmest he’s seen.
“We thought there might be some disruptions but it’s been really smooth none of the craziness that you see so we’ve been lucky,” Smith said.
Voters said they are making a last-ditch effort to get their ballots in for an election like that will go down in history.
“This year especially has brought out some extremely serious issues that are important and dear to everyone’s heart and they don’t want to be downplayed people want their voice to be heard,” Marchand said.
Voters said despite the pandemic, they felt extremely safe making their voice heard as there was social distancing, mask-wearing and cleaning while at the polling location.
