General Dynamics IT gets new CIO
General Dynamics’ IT services segment has promoted a new global chief information officer from within in the wake of the now-former CIO’s departure.
In a LinkedIn post Monday, Kristie Grinnell said she is leaving the GDIT business after six years there and as its lead CIO for a new opportunity at the start of next year.
Succeeding her is James Hannah, former CIO and vice president of enterprise IT services. Hannah also becomes VP of supply chain, the other title Grinnell held at GDIT in addition to lead CIO.
Hannah now leads the segment’s IT strategic plan in the areas of enterprise, business application, data centers, wide area networks and customer service. He also oversees supply chain management functions, including direct and indirect procurement and sourcing.
The Washington Business Journal first reported on Grinnell’s departure and Hannah’s elevation to the CIO role.
Hannah was most recently deputy CIO with responsibility over business systems, architecture, engineering and operations.
Grinnell joined GDIT in 2015 and before that held roles at the former Computer Sciences Corp., PricewaterhouseCoopers and General Motors.
