Superstar songwriter and 12-time Academy Award nominee Diane Warren posted a tongue-in-cheek dating profile Wednesday, and the man she's in search of shares a lot of similarities with the golden guy doled out every year by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
"So, it's never too late to put out the beacon: Yes, I'm single. Yes, I'm looking," reads the Match.com profile, "Songwriter and hopeless romantic," that Warren posted this morning. "I'm looking for a man in my life. I like them short, bald, smooth, and golden. I like a guy that is built solid and statuesque. A naked knight that carries a big sword...I digress 😉 I've lost out in finding my true love eleven times before. Hoping to finally put an end to that streak."
Warren has a chance to pick up that long-sought-after "date" when the Oscars are handed out April 25 in Los Angeles. A win would mark Warren's first following 11 prior nominations. She is up for her work penning the original song "Io Si (Seen)" from Netflix's Sophia Loren-starrer The Life Ahead. She posted about the song yesterday on Facebook, sharing a meme that features a quote from The Little Prince.
"The essential things in life are seen not with the eyes, but with the heart." She added, "This is the message of my song. The only way we can truly see and truly be Seen is when we see with our hearts." Spoken like a true romantic.
