The star was spotted with this exact sunscreen in her latest Instagram post—a carousel of photos of herself soaking up the sun by the pool in a high-cut, blue cheetah-print swimsuit. “Last days of vacay!” she captioned the post. In the second snap, Vergara is seen holding bottles of Toty sunscreen—no doubt one of her summer essentials, alongside a sun hat, a magazine, and a pair of sunglasses.
Toty is Vergara’s own beauty brand that she launched earlier this month. With SPF-infused products in the makeup, skincare, and general wellness realms, the brand is focused specifically on suncare—something that was not always a priority for her in her earlier years, she recently admitted told Harper’s Bazaar.
“I grew up in very tropical weather in Barranquilla, Colombia, and there was no one ever telling you, ‘Don’t get sunburn’ or ‘Don’t tan,’” she said. “I wish I had made that decision sooner also for the rest of my body, but I didn’t. I just thought to save my face, and that was it. So, I haven’t had my face in the sun without protection since the ’90s.”
Now, the Vergara is determined to help spread the message about the importance of sun protection with her brand Toty.
