CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Dollar General will pilot its new mobile health clinic program using three stores in Middle Tennessee, with two of those in Clarksville.

According to a news release, Dollar General is now offering mobile health clinics to provide customers with basic, preventative and urgent care services provided by DocGo On-Demand.

Services are currently available at:

  • 2780 Hwy. 48 in Clarksville on Sundays and Mondays
  • 2955 Ashland City Rd. in Clarksville on Wednesdays and Thursdays
  • 6130 Hwy. 48 in Cumberland Furnace on Fridays and Saturdays

Hours of operation at each location are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Dollar General and DocGo said they plan to evaluate customer response and determine the feasibility of expanding this offering to additional stores.

“We’re excited to pilot new mobile health clinics with services provided by DocGo On-Demand to provide services including annual physicals, acute illness, urgent care needs, vaccinations and lab testing,” said Dr. Albert Wu, Dollar General’s chief medical officer.

“These clinics demonstrate our ability and desire to work with our customers to bring affordable health and wellness closer to home while equally establishing Dollar General as a trusted partner where customers can access health services.”

Customers interested in seeing a DocGo On-Demand health care professional can go online or call (844) 443-6246 to schedule an appointment. Those interested can also walk in to visit their participating Dollar General store while services are provided.

DocGo On-Demand currently accepts Medicaid/TennCare, Medicare and select plans from major insurance companies. A cash option is also available, the release said.

“We’re thrilled to expand our existing footprint in Nashville and reach new patients by partnering with a nationally-recognized company like Dollar General,” said Aaron Severs, chief product officer at DocGo. “Improving healthcare accessibility and providing care to patients where and when they need it most is our primary goal, and we are confident that this partnership is another step forward in the right direction.”

The clinics will complement Dollar General’s health initiative, DG Wellbeing, which provides additional health and wellness product offerings to Dollar General stores. As of Oct. 2022, the DG Wellbeing offering was available in more than 3,200 stores.
