It comes after Kate revealed that gardening has provided her with 'hope' during Derek's ongoing battle with coronavirus.
She told to Gardeners' World: ‘When you’re living on a knife-edge, doing something that gives you a future just helps with a sense of progress.
'You can’t think short-term in a garden, you have to plan. You have to have hope. By planting something and believing Derek will see it… that gives us a sense of future.'
The presenter added that her garden has been 'the most important space' for her family over the past six months.
However she told the BBC2 show it hasn't always been easy and she had to adjust the types of things she was growing, choosing bulbs as they were more 'long-term.'

Kate's husband has become the longest person battling coronavirus in the UK after being hospitalised in March.
Giving an update about her husband this week, she said: 'Derek, who has no longer tested positive for coronavirus, children aren't allowed to see him, his mum and dad haven't seen him.'
She also recently revealed that her children haven't seen their father in six months as he continues to battle the disease in hospital.
Derek has been in intensive care and was in a coma for months after the virus made him seriously ill and Kate herself, has only been permitted to visit a handful of times.
