Letter: Vaccine system smooth, easy - The Columbian

A vaccine invitation came the other day and, after having made over 100 phone calls to get an appointment, I immediately emailed the Legacy Health System, and I was given a prompt appointment on Tuesday, Feb. 23, in the morning. They followed through with an appointment reminder.

The experience in the lobby was extremely professional and medically organized, greeted by medical help with identification on and taken to the desks where I had been pre-registered, signed up and waited a short time before being taken upstairs for the shot. The registered nurse was a delight and the shot was given and I did not even know she gave it. The card was given to stop and sign on the way out for the second vaccine dose in one month; I did that and what a pleasant experience today.

There have been so many negative articles in The Columbian and other press that I need to share a most positive experience today.

I was on the greeting committee at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center when we opened, and what a thrill it was to welcome this magnificent hospital to Clark County. I was so pleased at that time that I shared with my 10-foot Baldwin concert grand piano and it has the honor to be in the west end of the lobby at the hospital.
